  4. Dua - The Dua & Adhkar Contents
  5. Publications - PDFs of LWA books
  6. FAQs

When creating your account, set your main translation language and make sure to set 'Arabic' as secondary language so that you can see the original text as you are translating.

Ubayy b. Kaʿb (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Witr with three rakʿahs. In the first he would recite [Sūrah al-Aʿlā]; in the second [Sūrah al-Kafirun]; and in the third [Sūrah al-Ikhlas]. And he would say the Qunūt before bowing. And when he finished he would say [the above] three times, and would elongate the words the last time (i.e. the third time). (Nasā’ī 1699)
عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِثَلَاثِ رَكَعَاتٍ، كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْأُولَى بِ {سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى}، وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ بِ {قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ}، وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ بِ {قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ}، وَيَقْنُتُ قَبْلَ الرُّكُوعِ، فَإِذَا فَرَغَ قَالَ عِنْدَ فَرَاغِهِ: سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، يُطِيلُ فِي آخِرِهِنَّ . ʿĀ’ishah (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhā) said, “One night, I noticed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was missing. I found him (in the Masjid), in prostration with his feet upright; he was saying [the above]” (Nasā’ī 1100)
